Meet Iya omitola y. fowler (Mama omi)

I have devoted my life to the healing and empowerment of women and children since 2000. My journey began as a family daycare provider, nurturing young lives and witnessing firsthand the sacred bond between mother and child. That experience awakened my passion for maternal and child well-being and guided me into the work of a doula and midwife apprentice, where I offered guidance, emotional support, and physical care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Seeking to understand the deeper spiritual, energetic, and emotional dimensions of creation and healing, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Metaphysics from Sedona University in 2016. This formal training in consciousness, spiritual psychology, and holistic healing forms the foundation of all my work. Soon after, I became an ordained metaphysical minister, deepening my calling to hold sacred space for women in transformation. My initiations into the priesthood of Yemoja (2018) and Ifa (2023) further anchored me in ancestral wisdom, the divine feminine, and the sacred waters that flow through every woman.

Today, as the Founder of Ubuntu Wellness Academy and Omi’s Sacred Garden, I bring together over two decades of maternal care, metaphysical study, spiritual leadership, and personal transformation to support women in all stages of life. I am a Certified Menopause Coach, Certified Trauma Healing Coach, and Certified Nutrition Coach, offering a holistic, deeply compassionate approach to women’s health—especially during the midlife transition.

As a Reiki Master Teacher, Herbalist, and Womb Wellness Practitioner, I weave energy medicine, plant medicine, intuitive coaching, and metaphysical insight to restore harmony in body, mind, and spirit. My offerings include womb wellness, menopause support, trauma-informed healing, energy balancing, herbal consultations, nutrition guidance, spiritual counseling, and sacred mentorship—each rooted in the belief that every woman’s body is a living altar.

I have trained and mentored countless women in the art of doula work, empowering a new generation to reclaim birth, healing, and spiritual care as sacred ceremonies. Through Dawtas of the Moon, I continue to create transformative spaces where Black women reconnect to their heritage, honor their magic, and rise fully in their power.

My own healing journey continues to be my greatest teacher, reminding me that restoration begins within. I live by the adage, “Healer, heal thyself,” holding integrity, embodiment, and spiritual alignment as my guiding principles. My work—and my life—are offerings of devotion: to Spirit, to womanhood, and to the divine rhythm that unites them both.
